Protect your ring with Chubb Valuable Articles insurance and get the peace of mind and financial security you need.
Your ring is more than a valuable piece of jewelry. It’s a symbol of your love and devotion.
The cost of valuable articles coverage for your ring will vary based on the value of your ring, where you live, and what type of protection you have in place such as a jewelry safe or burglar alarm system. Chubb provides competitive pricing and exceptional service you can depend on.
Chubb’s Valuable Articles insurance will pay for your ring to be replaced or repaired if it is lost, stolen, or damaged.
Yes, you can. We encourage you to insure all your valuable rings, including engagement, wedding, and heirloom rings.
We only require appraisals for individual jewelry pieces valued at $100,000 or more. Otherwise, we just need a detailed description, an estimated value, and photos of your items.
A typical homeowner’s policy is designed to insure your home and its contents, usually limiting coverage of jewelry and watches to a maximum amount, typically $5,000 or less. So, if your item costs more than that maximum limit, the insurance payment alone won’t be enough to replace it with a similar item. A separate valuable articles policy provides broad, worldwide coverage with no limit on value and no deductible.
No, Chubb’s Valuable Articles coverage is a $0 deductible policy. Adding deductible is not available.
If the market value of a ring or other piece of jewelry on your Chubb Valuable Articles policy increases before a loss, we’ll pay the market value before the loss – up to 150% of your item’s insured value. This is subject to the maximum amount of coverage of your jewelry collection.
However, as each piece is unique and values fluctuate over time, we recommend periodically tracking the market value of your items so that you’re best insured.
If you experience a loss, please call us at 1-800-CLAIMS-0 (1-800-252-4670). We recommend taking detailed notes regarding the loss (i.e., date, time, location, and any relevant details). Chubb's claims processing times may vary by claim. Once a claim has been resolved, Chubb provides payment as quickly as possible.
