Chubb Hurricane Parking is a new loss-mitigation service designed for our PRS personal auto insurance clients in select hurricane-prone areas. This service, offered at no additional cost to clients, helps them avoid vehicle damage by providing a safe, secure, and elevated parking facility location for the duration of a hurricane or other major storm.

Why use Chubb Hurricane Parking

Avoid being without your vehicle for potentially weeks — or months.

During 2024’s Hurricane Milton, approximately 120,000 vehicles were damaged or destroyed in Florida alone.1 This level of destruction leads to major car inventory shortages and inflated prices, especially for high-value or collectible vehicles.2

And while your home and outbuildings may be able to withstand hurricane force winds, even a well-built home garage generally offers little protection against severe flooding and storm surges.

An elevated parking facility is an ideal way to prevent damage or destruction to the vehicle(s) you love.

How it works

Chubb is offering access to this loss-mitigation service to clients through Way.com, the premier car services platform, during a hurricane event.

If eligible,* you’ll receive an email notification approximately 72 hours before the storm’s landfall from Chubbhurricaneparking@chubb.com, inviting you to create or log in to your account, locate a parking facility, reserve a spot for your Chubb-insured vehicle(s), and drop it (or them) off.

Participants are also eligible for a transportation reimbursement, from and/or back to the parking facility, of up to $25 per vehicle per event. (Note that using this loss-mitigation service, including transportation reimbursement, is not considered a Chubb claim.)

*Eligibility: This service is available to PRS auto clients within 20 miles of an activated garage location. Garages are activated based on proximity to an active storm and the potential for severe damage in the area. Currently, the service is offered in the following geographic areas: Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and West Palm Beach.
