Chubb Global Markets claims division serves our Lloyd’s business and the London insurance company market, routinely managing around 40,000 outstanding claims internally at any one time.

The highest value, most complex claims, such as energy, financial lines and big property losses, are handled in house by CGM’s highly trained class specialists. Frequency claims, on the other hand, are managed by Chubb’s selected third party partners.

CGM always takes a collaborative approach to claims management working with colleagues in underwriting and risk management. It means that claims information is fed back into risk management and underwriting to help us tailor our coverage and constantly improve our service to brokers and underlying clients.

Chubb understands that a superior claims service is paramount to brokers and clients. It’s why we invest in talented individuals, to help them realise their potential.

CGM claims personnel are highly trained individuals that bring targeted technical expertise to cases. It’s essential to have skilled professionals working in sensitive, complex areas like employers' liability or directors & officers, for example.

CGM places strong emphasis on the potential for subrogation and recovery in classes like marine, aviation and property to support policyholders where other parties bear responsibility. Effective recovery helps our clients and contributes to CGM offering them competitive premium rates.

Claims management is a proactive function for CGM. We use it to help clients and brokers with their loss prevention and contingency planning, an increasingly important element in property catastrophe risk management, and other areas like cyber risk.

CGM’s claims professionals never stand still. We’re always looking for ways to shorten the life-cycle of a claim. By leveraging new technology to improve decision making, we can make timely settlement on an interim basis and in full, where appropriate.

Automating elements of the claims cycle frees CGM’s specialist claims professionals to focus on providing support services and responding to policyholders’ individual needs when they need them most.
