The popular Chubb Ignite broker e-trading platform has been updated with a new design, improved user journey and the brand-new Climate+ Renewables product. We sat down with Di Davidson, Chubb’s Head of eBroking for UK and Ireland, to find out more about the new features, Climate+ Renewables and how Chubb Ignite benefits our brokers.

How long have you been involved with e-trade at Chubb?

I’ve been with Chubb for the past 18 years, working in many different roles across the business. I became the head of e-trade 10 years ago, and I’ve been working on Chubb Ignite since its inception.

What is Chubb Ignite?

Chubb Ignite is our e-trade platform, available for brokers in the UK. The platform enables both brokers and our underwriters to write business as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Which products are available on Chubb Ignite?

Products on Chubb Ignite come from many of our business units. These include Accident and Health, Cyber, Marine, Contractors All Risks, Environmental Impairment Liability, our newest product, Climate+ Renewables, and many more. The Chubb Ignite webpage has more information.

How can brokers benefit by using Chubb Ignite?

Chubb Ignite is a very simple, web-based application which can be used by brokers wherever they are. Our self-service capabilities enable brokers to source quotes, bind risks, issue documentation, make mid-term adjustments and manage renewals all in one place. It’s quick, accessible and flexible.

What updates have been made to Chubb Ignite?

We’ve recently relaunched Ignite with an updated design and improved user experience, to make trading on the platform even easier for brokers. We’re always iteratively testing and improving the user journey, and the new update to the platform incorporates feedback we’ve gathered from our broker users on how the platform should work for them. Additionally, we’ve made it even easier to navigate through the system, transact new business and find important user documentation, to further improve the efficiency of the service.

Tell us about the new product that has just launched on Chubb Ignite

I’m delighted to announce that Climate+ Renewables is now available on Chubb Ignite. Climate+ Renewables is a multiline, package product for solar and onshore wind projects, suitable for small to medium sized businesses in the UK. This product is hugely important for us at Chubb, to enable the growth of renewable energy development in the UK.

We’ve put a great deal of work into configuring the Climate+ Renewables package so that brokers can begin writing new business on Chubb Ignite straightaway with minimum fuss.

How does Chubb Ignite support brokers and their business?

Ignite is designed to enable brokers to transact business quickly and efficiently, without compromising on Chubb’s high-quality service. Our team of specialist underwriters are on hand to offer flexibility and to help with any queries or complexities, if needed.

How might Chubb Ignite develop in future?

My team and I are always exploring ways in which we can continue to improve the platform, to the benefit of our users. We’re on this journey together with our broker users, and we will always look to them to voice their opinions on Chubb Ignite. Over the next few years, we plan to add or improve functionality to meet brokers’ requirements.
