Chubb commissioned a global survey of the impact of Covid-19 on business travel. Among the findings for the Asia Pacific region, in comparison with other regions in the world, are:

  1. Business travelers’ overall job effectiveness was most negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and related travel restrictions compared to other regions. As a result, client and business partner relationships have suffered, in particular, the ability to develop new business/make new sales.

  2. Nevertheless, Asia Pacific business travelers are the most anxious about traveling for business (74%).

  3. Asia Pacific business travelers also express the highest level of trust in airlines.

Here are the highlights of the survey:

The survey, conducted for Chubb by Dynata, took place between February 24 and March 30, 2021. The results are based on 2,100 completed surveys with a margin of error of +/–2% in the aggregate. Respondents were screened to ensure they resided in one of 16 countries across four regions (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America), were 20 years of age or older, were currently employed, and travelled overnight for business in a typical year as part of their jobs.
