What is the annual minimum premium commitment?

There is no minimum premium commitment.

How long does the appointment process take?

As soon as you can get the requested detail to us, we can have you onboarded in less 24 hours.

With a personal lines contract, will I be able to sell auto right away?

No, ability to write auto is not granted from Chubb until your brokerage achieves minimum GWP thresholds and sustains profitable results.

Can I have both a commercial code and a personal lines code?

Yes. Depending on your book of business, we are happy to open a commercial code, a personal lines code, and a benefits code.

Can I have multiple commercial codes, and multiple personal lines codes? One for each of my retail/branch locations?

Yes, but only one commercial code per province, and similarly for personal lines.

How much annual GWP does my brokerage need to generate to be eligible for contingent commission?

$1M in commercial and $750,000 in PRS.  

How do I start the appointment process?

Become a Chubb-appointed broker - answer a few simple application questions, and then our team will be in touch shortly to finish the appointment process.

What are the requirements to be a Chubb-appointed broker?
  1. You must be a licensed broker/brokerage in the province where you plan to write business
  2. You must have a corporate website
  3. You must have a corporate email address
  4. You must confirm your E&O insurance and disclose any open claims
