While Robbie and his wife were enjoying an overseas holiday over Christmas, they heard that Sydney had been battered by storms and wet weather. Upon arriving home, Robbie walked into his study and was hit with a foul smell from where water had entered the room and been sitting in the carpet, resulting in a build up of mould.
Robbie immediately got in touch with his insurance broker Oracle Group, who then contacted Chubb. Workers arrived at Robbie’s house the very same day and got to work ripping up the carpets and drying out the room. When the room was dry, Chubb returned on New Years Day to properly assess the damage. When it was determined the carpet in Robbie’s study couldn’t be matched, Chubb suggested all the carpets on the top floor of the house be replaced for consistency and covered the cost to do so. Chubb acted quickly and communicated regularly with Robbie so he knew exactly what was happening every step of the way.
