Senior Vice President, Chubb Group; Regional President, Asia Pacific

Marcos Gunn is Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Regional President, Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the general management and business results for all general insurance operations in the region, which includes Australia, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Korea, Macao SAR, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Mr. Gunn has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to his current role, he served as Regional President, Latin America, which includes Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean. Mr. Gunn joined Chubb in 2000 and has served in a variety of management roles, including President, Northern Latin America Region, and Chief Operating Officer for the company's Latin America operations. He has also served as Country President of Chile; Regional Vice President of A&H, Latin America; and Regional Vice President of A&H, Asia Pacific. Earlier in his career, he served as a commercial insurance underwriter at Chubb in Argentina, as well as underwriting and management positions at other insurance companies. He was appointed Senior Vice President, Chubb Group in August 2019.

Mr. Gunn holds a degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Buenos Aires.

Country President, Australia & New Zealand

Ben Howell is Country President in Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Howell has more than 20 years experience in the insurance industry, including more than a decade of experience in Asia. He commenced his career at Chubb’s predecessor company in Sydney, Australia in 2002 before embarking on his international career three years later. Then with AIG, Mr. Howell worked in Hong Kong and Singapore leading their financial institutions underwriting business for Asia. In 2008, he joined Allied World in Hong Kong to build and run a Financial Lines business in the Asia Pacific region. In 2014, he relocated from Hong Kong to Australia in the same role, before assuming concurrently the role of Country Manager for Australia in 2015.

In July 2016, Mr. Howell returned to Chubb as Global Broker Unit Manager for Victoria. He was been promoted to roles of increasing responsibility since, most recently to Head of Consumer, Asia Pacific, prior to his current appointment.

Mr. Howell holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance & Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from Macquarie University in Sydney.
