Get to know Sophie Osborne

Hawkes Bay Insurance Adviser, Sophie Osborne, was recognised as Chubb Life’s Adviser of the Year for her deep commitment to her customers, and her outstanding leadership and collaboration. 

If you haven’t met Sophie, keep reading to find out why she loves her job and how she connects with her customers. 

What does a typical day look like for you?

I’m the Insurance Adviser for Hawkes Bay and I look after a wide range of customers providing advice on personalised protection plans (the 3 Ps, as I like to say). Every day involves talking, talking and more talking – whether this is with new or existing customers, along with ANZ bankers.

Can you tell us about how you work with your customers?

I build rapport at the start of every meeting by welcoming them into a safe and honest space. I make sure they can ask questions to better understand their own risk needs – listening is really important in my role. My goal is to help support them through the whole process of getting insurance, reviewing insurance and paying out insurance.

What do you like most about working for Chubb Life?

I love the variety of my role – helping protect customers, paying claims when they need it most and training my ANZ stakeholders to recognise when customers need protection.

What do you get up to outside of work?

Our favourite weekend adventures are camping with friends and family. We like to find hidden gems around the country.

What's one thing on your bucket list? 

Visit Montana in the USA and stay at the real-life Yellowstone Ranch. It's a working cattle ranch located in the Bitterroot Valley. You can stay in Lee Dutton and Rip Wheeler cabins. We watched the Yellowstone show when it was first made back in 2018 and have followed all of Taylor Sheridan’s series and movies since. Our family love country music and living outdoors.
