As you gear up for a well-deserved Easter break, I hope you’re all planning for some well-deserved time with friends and family.   

I know from recent conversations with a number of you, the pressures of the cost of living are continuing to be felt by many. With that in mind, I have a few announcements to share that I hope will come as welcome news to you and your customers.

2 months’ FREE and Multi-Benefit discount extended to 30 June 

I’m pleased to let you know we’re extending our 2 months’ FREE and Multi-benefit discount offers until 30 June 2024.  With our 10% Lifetime Reward benefit added to the mix, we hope this continues to make a real difference for your customers.  

Updated versions of our flyers, FAQs and T&Cs will be available to download from our website from 1 April.

Enhancements to our product and service offering 

I’m pleased to share two other great enhancements with you. The first is to our Client Benefits for Assurance Extra Business customers.

 

  1. Buy/Sell agreements now covered for Assurance Extra Business customers 
    We’ve enhanced the Legal Advice Benefit under our Complimentary Client Benefits to cover buy/sell agreements so we can better meet the needs of business owners.

    This enhancement applies to all new and existing Assurance Extra Business customers. It means they’ll be able to use the complimentary Legal Advice Benefit for the purpose of a will or buy/sell agreement up to a total value of $1,000 within the 12-month Client Benefit period, provided the policy has been in force over 90 days.

  2. Non-residents can now get covered, faster 
    The second is an enhancement to our eApp. We’ve removed the requirement for non-residents to provide a copy of their visa when applying for cover. Instead of supplying a copy of their visa, customers will simply need to answer a few questions regarding their residency and visa status to proceed with their application. 

    Updated copies of our Underwriting Guide and Application form are now available to download from  Adviser Hub and the Adviser Resources Page

This is just the beginning of a series of initiatives we have in the pipeline for you and your customers. The team and I can’t wait to share more about these with you as soon as we can.  
 

Announcing our charity partnerships 

Finally, I’m excited to share that over the next three years we’ll be working with three charities – The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, Ronald McDonald House Charities and Keep New Zealand Beautiful.  We’re proud to be supporting the important work they do to protect New Zealanders and the place we call home. It’s great to be able to finally share this news with you, it’s been some time in the making and we’re excited to get you involved over the coming months.
