Welcome to the first edition of Chubb Life’s Insurance Adviser newsletter. I’m delighted to be part of the team and wanted to introduce myself to those of you I haven’t yet met.
I’m David Ashe, the new Head of Bancassurance based in our Takapuna office. Bancassurance is a term used when a bank allows an insurance company to sell products to its client base..
Born and bred in Auckland, I’ve worked in financial services for over 20 years and spent time working in London and Sydney. My wife and I have two kids who’ve almost grown up - one’s at Otago University and one’s in Year 12. We live in Mt Eden and love the lifestyle New Zealand provides. I’m especially passionate about football and like so many Kiwis, have been loving watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
I’m here to help Chubb Life further develop the ANZ relationship and excited to be part of the team. We have a great deal of opportunity with several upcoming initiatives including our onboarding and referral projects that could see us grow exponentially in this channel. We’ve had excellent results in the Independent Financial Adviser channel and I’d like us to replicate that success. I’m looking forward to working closely with Simon and the marketing, product and strategy teams to make this happen.
Undoubtedly times have been tough for many, so it’s more important now than ever we make sure people are properly protected and help provide the right solutions for them.
