An update from Chris Hand

Happy new year to you all and a very warm welcome back.

I hope you’re all feeling well-rested and managed to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones over the summer break, as I did with mine.

2025 has kicked off with a hiss and a roar here at Chubb Life. It was fantastic to connect with so many of you at our Back to Business events across the country in late January. A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to come along and catch up with our team as well as each other. Thank you also to everyone who shared their feedback on what you’d like to see from us this year. Make sure you check out Christine’s recap to see if you can spot yourself in the photos.

Making it easier for you to do business with us

This month we have a number of exciting changes to share with you including our new “Smart Start” feature which gives you more control at the point of policy commencement, and our new 14-day “Change of Mind” window to make the process of cancelling and withdrawing cancellation requests easier for you and your customers. We’ve also made some great enhancements to Adviser Hub in response to your feedback so please make sure you take a moment to read about them.

Latest appointments at Chubb Life

In other news, you’ll see we’ve recently made two key appointments to the Chubb Life team. Lee-Ann du Toit has joined us as Chief Actuary and Appointed Actuary, and Reeta Anthony has joined as our new Head of Claims. I’m looking forward to working closely with Lee-Ann and Reeta as we continue to drive innovation to ensure we continue to provide a market-leading proposition for you and your customers.
