"Due to an unforeseen cancellation of a tour recently, we had to cancel our flight booking. We contacted Chubb our insurer and was advised that the claim may not be successful as low river level due to drought in Europe resulting in the river cruise cancellation does not fall under natural disaster. However, we proceeded to submit out documents etc to at least get our airline cancellation charges claimed. The online submission was quite easy and we were informed of the processing and payment within a month. When we were in doubt, the hotline staff helped to inform the claims dept which then followed through with email. We realised we made a mistake in the claim when the airline finally sent us the notice of refund and cancellation charges.
