Our History
Combined Insurance Company of America has a rich culture and history, dating back to its founding in Chicago in 1922.
W. Clement Stone started the business more than 100 years ago with just $100, and through the years it grew as a provider of supplmenetal life, health and accident insurance to employees at the worksite and individuals. The company became part of Chubb in 2008.
Chubb Benefits, as it is now known, is one of the fastest-growing provider of benefits at the worksite (Eastbridge Consulting, 2025), has been named one of the top employers for veterans in the U.S. (Military Friendly Employer, 2017-2025), and centers its philosophy around positive thinking philosophy (PMA).
Chubb Benefits is a leading provider of supplemental accident, health, disability, and life insurance products in the U.S.* and Canada.
