Constantin Petalas, Division President, Chubb Tempest Re Canada
Constantin (Tino) Petalas joined Chubb Tempest Re, formerly ACE Tempest Re, in January 2007. As Division President of the Montreal-based reinsurance operation with a mandate to lead the company’s growth and development in the Canadian market. He reports to James Wixtead, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group, and President, Chubb Tempest Re Group.
Mr. Petalas brings to Chubb over 25 years of diverse experience in the reinsurance arena. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer of Axa Re, Canada. Prior roles include chief executive positions at Axa Corporate Solutions Assurance Canada and Axa Re Latin America.
Mr. Petalas, a Canadian citizen, received a bachelor’s degree in economics and an M.B.A. from McGill University. He is a member of the Canadian Securities Institute and has served as Executive Director of the Reinsurance Research Council of Canada.
