Hurricane Protection

Chubb can help provide calm after the storm.

Most of Chubb’s homeowner’s policies provide “all risk” coverage, and physical damage to your home caused by hurricane or windstorm may be a covered loss.

Additionally, Chubb offers Property ManagerSM a service that provides proactive assistance if your secondary and seasonal home is damaged due to hurricane-force winds, at no additional charge.

Which States Currently Offer the Chubb Property Manager Service?

You may enroll in this service at no additional charge if you have wind coverage on your secondary or seasonal home in the following states: AL, CT, DE, FL, GA, LA, MA, MD, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VA, TX coastal counties,* and the District of Columbia.

What Happens if My Home Is Impacted by a Hurricane?

Once you’re enrolled in Chubb Property Manager, we can take action on your behalf if your secondary or seasonal home is affected by sustained hurricane-force winds. Chubb closely monitors and tracks the approach of any potential hurricane. If your secondary or seasonal home is impacted, the service features the following:

Automatically Conduct a Home Inspection

Chubb closely monitors and tracks the approach of any potential hurricane. Once the area is safely accessible, a Chubb representative will automatically conduct an exterior inspection to determine the condition of your home.

Quick Claim Submission

If damage is discovered, you will be notified, and with your approval, a claim will immediately be filed to help expedite the claim process.

Property Condition Report

A Chubb representative with extensive understanding of home construction will provide you with a report that details the exterior condition of the home.

Short-Term Repairs

Once a claim is submitted, and with your approval, Chubb will dispatch mitigation specialists who can board up the home, tarp the roof, extract water, help limit the potential for further damage, and provide a warranty for the work.
