Claims Business Consultants

Claims Business Consultants collaborate with you to create a service plan tailored to your needs. Your claim business consultant will:

  • Meet with you to gain a thorough understanding of your operations
  • Identify your service expectations and requirements
  • Develop a custom service plan that addresses your claim mitigation needs
  • Centralize your claim handling, where appropriate
  • Establish any special claim handling instructions
  • Notify the adjuster of those special handling instructions
  • Monitor claim activity to ensure any special handling instructions are followed
  • Provide risk management information tools to support your claim’s financial and trending needs
  • Monitor overall results and identify areas for immediate improvement 

Designated Adjusters

Designated Adjusters can be appointed for you. They are:

  • Chosen per jurisdiction and by line of business
  • Thoughtfully selected for their technical skills and business acumen 
  • Responsible for developing an advanced understanding of your operations, service requirements and staff so we can meet your desired claim handling and service objectives

In-Depth Claim Evaluation

An additional, in-depth evaluation of any claims that incur great exposure and/or impact to your business.

  • Conducted on claims you identify with a minimal total incurred of $25,000 or more
  • Facilitated by a claim business consultant in person or via teleconference
  • Adjuster participation via a telephone conference is available

Consultation Agreements

  • Reserve consultation prior to establishing reserves of $25,000 or more
  • Settlement consultation in advance of settlement offers of $25,000 or more
  • Consultation prior to pursuit of subrogation, if applicable

Special Handling Instructions

Special Handling Instructions (SHIs) can be provided to adjusters on each claim and may include:

  • Consultation agreements
  • Location coding
  • Litigation management
  • Special workflows
  • Key contacts 

Special Management Tools

Special Management Tools include:
  • Claim View, which provides real-time access to claim notes for auto, general liability and workers compensation claims
  • RMIS Dimensions, a web-based, real-time risk management tool that allows you to manipulate complicated loss data. Data conversion and consolidation services are available upon request
  • Agency Management Systems is a Web-based @chubb platform of applications: eLoss, Agency View, Check View and Claims Download
