Scott A. Meyer

Biography

Scott A. Meyer is Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Division President, Westchester. He has executive operating responsibility for the commercial property and casualty insurance business that serves the wholesale and excess and surplus (E&S) lines market in the U.S. and Canada through its brokerage, binding, and programs segments. Mr. Meyer’s responsibilities include oversight of the division’s strategy, product and business development, underwriting operations, and profit and loss performance.

Mr. Meyer has nearly 30 years of underwriting and risk management experience in professional lines. He joined the company, then ACE, in 2008 as Executive Vice President, Professional Risk, ACE USA. Mr. Meyer was promoted to Division President of Professional Risk, ACE USA in 2012 and, following ACE’s acquisition of Chubb in 2016, was named Division President of North America Financial Lines. He was named Senior Vice President, Chubb Group in November 2019.

Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Meyer held several leadership positions at AIG, including President of the Financial Institutions Group, head of the Mergers and Acquisitions Insurance Group, Senior Vice President of AIG Executive Liability, and Senior Vice President of the Strategic Risk Group. Earlier in his career, he was a co-founding partner of Ambridge Partners, a specialized Managing General Underwriter (MGU) of transactional liability insurance products, including representations and warranty insurance, tax indemnity insurance, and contingent liability insurance. Mr. Meyer began his career as an underwriter in Chubb’s Department of Financial Institutions.

Mr. Meyer holds a degree in Economics from New York University.
