Regional Day of Service: Chubb Philippines
At Chubb, we encourage the development of initiatives that reflect our employees’ commitment to the needs of their local and regional communities. Through national campaigns, local volunteer projects and other initiatives, Chubb supports employee giving and volunteerism with a variety of programs.
Chubb Employee Volunteerism Program
Employees from around the globe participate in hundreds of volunteer activities annually that have a direct impact on the local communities where our employees live and work. Volunteer activities have included building houses, supporting public schools, sorting food donations and cleaning up public parks.
Matching Gift Program
Chubb matches donations made to eligible charitable organizations by employees in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda. Employees are able to double their personal donations through the matching gift program. In 2018, as of August 31, the program matched nearly 2,400 employee donations in the U.S. and Bermuda.
Disaster Relief Matching Gifts
Chubb conducts fundraising campaigns that raise money to provide assistance and matches employees’ donations in support of relief efforts in global disasters. In 2017 Chubb employees made donations to the International Medical Corps to support victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the September 2017 earthquake in Mexico. These donations were matched by Chubb Charitable Foundations.
IICF Week of Giving
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation combines the collective strengths of the insurance industry to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership. Through the IICF, Chubb contributes to local non-profits in a wide variety of areas, including education, disaster preparedness, the environment, health and human services, military veterans and at-risk children.
In 2017, 830 Chubb employees in 16 offices gave back to the communities in which they live and work by participating in 43 projects. Collectively, they provided 2,800+ hours of service to charitable organizations.
Regional Day of Service
Inaugurated in 2012, the annual Regional Day of Service (RDS) provides an opportunity for our Asia-Pacific employees to rally together and time to local community projects. Employees in the various markets organize their respective Day of Service during a designated week every year. They plan, partner with local charities and execute various volunteer activities to make a difference in the local communities in which they live and operate.
