Account Manager, Casualty Risk Engineering

Jeremy Cole joined Chubb in April 2012 with six years’ experience of managing the risk engineering programmes of major casualty accounts at a large Lloyd’s syndicate.

Jeremy joined the insurance market from the Cabinet Office where he was a policy manager, advising ministers on regulatory policy.

His background is as a health and safety inspector for the HSE, specialising in the polymers, fibres, food manufacturing and entertainment sectors, and in the public health department of a local health authority, where he researched human factors in accident causation.

Account Manager, Employers Liability Specialist

Robert joined Chubb in 2004 after five years working for a global broker delivering solutions that enabled clients in a wide range of industry sectors to control the costs of employer’s liability insurance. Prior to that he spent 10 years as an HSE inspector specialising in improving safety management systems in complex public sector organisations such as the NHS, MoD and Emergency Services.

Robert now works in partnership with our clients and brokers to deliver customised services that support our mutual interest in preventing losses and controlling liability claim costs.

He also leads Chubb's delivery of IOSH accredited health and safety training. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Health & Safety, is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and European Occupational Safety and Health Manager.

Property and Casualty Risk Engineer

Karl joined Chubb in 1996  and has over 35  years  experience in the insurance industry which includes 25 years in Risk Engineering.

Karl undertakes all manner of property and casualty evaluations and specialises in providing risk management advice on accounts where there is a products liability, occupational safety and health, or environmental liability bias.

Karl has a Masters Degree in Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Management, has completed the Chartered Insurance Institute’s ACCI qualification and is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner.

Senior Account Engineer

Alan started his career as a Highly Protected Risk (HPR) risk engineer for a major global insurer. He has held risk engineering, risk management and business continuity positions with insurers, brokers and clients for over 20 years before joining Chubb in 2015. He has expertise across a broad range of industries and territories globally. Alan has a Master’s degree in Process Safety and Loss Prevention, is a Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, a NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist and is an Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute.

Senior Account Engineer

Ian started his career in a technical support/R&D role in the nuclear reprocessing industry in Cumbria. After gaining his engineering degree he moved into production management at British Steel. For the last 22 years he has worked in various risk engineering roles for major highly protected risks (HPR) and global property risk insurers. He joined Chubb in 2006 and represents Chubb on the RISCAuthority sprinkler and building products working groups.

Head of Property & Casualty Risk Engineering Services - Europe

Paul began work as a commercial property underwriter for a UK tariff office before going on to specialise in property risk engineering. After gaining extensive in-depth experience with a major global insurance company and broking house he joined Chubb in 1996. Paul has supplemented his working knowledge with qualifications: NEBOSH Health & Safety certificate and is also a MIOSH Chartered Health & Safety Practitioner. Paul now has responsibility for the property and casualty risk engineering function for EMEA.

Account Engineer

Francesca graduated with a BEng(Hons) First Class degree in Aerospace Engineering and gained valuable engineering experience within high capital expenditure projects, before joining the insurance industry in 2008. She has previously worked for 2 major global insurers, initially as a graduate plan review engineer, before further developing her role as a consultant risk engineer, providing property risk engineering services on highly protected risks (HPR) for a variety of medium to large multinational accounts in a diverse range of industries and countries. She joined Chubb in February 2015.

Mark graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) in Product Design. Between 2005 to 2012 he worked as a Design Engineer for an international fire protection company, before joining a major global insurance broker, where he gained substantial property risk engineering experience. Mark joined Chubb in 2015.

Rhodri graduated with a BEng(Hons) in Chemical Engineering and after working in the chemical industry for several years, moved into insurance in 2003. After holding property risk engineering positions in both insurance carriers and brokers, he joined Chubb in 2014. Rhodri has experience of servicing high value multi-national accounts in a wide range of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, heavy industry and retail risks. He has added to his working knowledge with various qualifications and holds the CFPA European Diploma in Fire Prevention and the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health & Safety.

Senior Account Risk Consultant

Andrew initially worked as a property underwriter before specialising in risk engineering. He joined Chubb in 2011 and has more than 25 years experience in the risk engineering field, working for various insurance companies and broking houses. With a broad depth of knowledge and experience in property risk engineering, Andrew has supplemented his working knowledge with various qualifications including ACII (Chartered Insurance Practitioner). He is a MIOSH Chartered Health & Safety Practitioner and member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management.

Tom is Property & Casualty Risk Engineering Services Manager for UK/ Ireland.  Tom has worked for Chubb 27 years in a number of International and UK based roles. Prior to joining Chubb Tom was within the Risk Management Unit of a major international broking house and with a UK composite insurer.

Tom has extensive experience managing teams and has also worked with a variety of large multi-national corporations in businesses as wide ranging as Financial Institutions and related service industries, manufacturing including heavy industry, energy related trades and high technology sectors. Tom has Chartered Insurer status with the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers.

Alan has 22 years insurance experience having been with Chubb Risk Engineering since 2002. Working across a broad range of property and casualty accounts, with specific technical expertise in security & flood exposures and is a Level 1 certified infrared thermographer.

Alan is a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), Technical Member of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and an Associate Member of the Association of Security Consultants. Alan is also actively involved in a number of Industry working groups.

Brian has worked in Insurance Risk Engineering for more than 30 years, completing both underwriting surveys and client consultancy services. Brian is skilled in a broad range of risk engineering disciplines including property protection (fire and security), business interruption, health and safety, general and products Liability. Brian joined Chubb in 2004 and becoming a business continuity specialist in 2012. Brian is an Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and an Associate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Property and Casualty Risk Engineer

Claire is a property and casualty risk engineer, based in Scotland and has held her current role since joining Chubb in November 2012.  Prior to joining Chubb, Claire worked in an underwriting capacity and with a risk management consultancy specialising in business continuity management.

Claire’s role involves completing general property and casualty evaluations, as well as providing consultancy advice. Claire also undertakes errors and omissions risk evaluations, including providing advice to clients on contract and project management and information security risk management. Claire has the following qualifications; BA (Hons) Risk Management, NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety and Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.

David has been engaged in risk engineering for over 35 year, having started his insurance career as a liability underwriter with a specialist UK market. Joining Chubb Manchester in 1992 to support regional growth, initially as a general property & casualty risk engineer, moving into a regional management role in 1999.

A senior property and casualty engineer, David joined Chubb in 2002 based in our Birmingham office. David’s career spans both the insurance and industry sectors, specialising in health and safety, but with considerable experience of other related disciplines, including material damage, security and casualty surveys.

Having worked in the insurance Industry since 1994 in a risk engineering role, David’s experience includes the role of risk manager for the “Eurostar” rail project, and the construction industry as an Assistant Divisional Safety Officer for a large engineering contractor. David’s qualifications are Bachelor of Law, CFPA Diploma and IOSH Diploma

Senior Risk Engineer

Graham is one of our senior and multi-skilled property and casualty risk engineers based in our Glasgow office.  He joined Chubb in 2000, having previously worked for a major insurer in a risk engineering role since the early 1990’s.

As a senior property specialist, Graham was responsible for establishing Chubb’s European property protection strategy for risk engineering, leading a team of property specialists and acting as a key consultant to Chubb’s executive specialists and EU management team. He is able to support both our internal and external clients requiring cross disciplinary tailored risk engineering services.

Graham is a Member of the Institute of Risk Management and holds an Advanced Diploma in Fire Prevention plus NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety.

Jack is a property & casualty risk engineer based in London, joining Chubb in 2015 following 3 years as property risk engineer with a major global broker, where he was engaged in risk evaluation, fire engineering design and risk improvement for ordinary and high hazard risks. 

Jack obtained a distinction in FPA Basic Sprinkler Design and also attended courses on Applied Fire Risk Assessment and NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety.

Keith joined Chubb in 2001, with 11 year’s risk engineering experience with a composite insurer, and is the risk engineering life science specialist for UK & Ireland.

He is a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.Keith leads risk engineering initiatives within the life science segment, has extensive international experience in respect of life science clients, and has delivered educational and development activities to both internal and external customers over many years.

Nick joined Chubb in 2003, prior to which he worked in the risk management and loss prevention field for both a commercial broker and a UK composite insurer. Nick is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.  Nick has multi-disciplined expertise but specialises in both Errors & Omissions risk evaluations, including advice to clients on contract & project management, and in cyber & information security risk management being Certified in Information Security Management Practices, and a Certified ISO27001 Lead Implementer and Auditor.

Joined Chubb in 1999, and is a multi-disciplined Risk Engineer, with primary focus on our life science and information technology sectors, including contractual obligations and cyber. Sue is a subject matter expert specialising in all aspects of life science risks including change in controlled environment, contract research/manufacturing and the associated contractual issues, supply chain management and regulatory environment.

Qualifications include Certificate of Insurance Practice, NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety, and NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.

Property & Casualty Risk Engineer

Geraldine is a multi-disciplined Property and Casualty Risk Engineer based out of the Dublin office. She worked within Chubb for three and a half years as a personal lines appraiser before joining Loss Control Services in 2002. Geraldine carries out a broad range of risk engineering evaluations across a wide range of industries, and is also qualified as a level one Infrared Thermographer, undertaking thermographic condition monitoring surveys on electrical systems and machinery.

Geraldine’s qualifications  and memberships include Honours Diploma in Auctioneering, Valuations and Estate Agency, B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Surveying from Trinity College, Dublin and the NEBOSH Certificate In Health and Safety. She is a member of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Geraldine is also a member of the Association of Risk Management in Ireland and acted as chairperson for the association from 2009-2011.
