Chubb’s $1 million contribution to Project HOPE, made in partnership with Healthcare Ready and supported by the Business Roundtable, is procuring personal protective equipment (PPE) and other vital equipment from manufacturers worldwide and arranging around-the-clock movement and delivery to America’s nurses, doctors and others to treat patients and help stop the spread of COVID-19. These critically needed supplies are being allocated to health facilities in coordination with Healthcare Ready, which is working in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Project HOPE has delivered PPE to hard-hit cities across the U.S., including New York, Chicago, New Orleans, and Los Angeles, as well as in Puerto Rico, seen here.
In Colombia, Project HOPE is delivering vital protective gear, as well as supporting Coronavirus Treatment Center tents at Erasmo Meoz University Hospital.
HOPE’s team in Colombia is also helping to conduct contact tracing, confirm COVID-19 cases, and has set up a triage and screening system for respiratory patients.
Project HOPE was one of the only international relief organizations on the ground in China throughout the COVID-19 outbreak, delivering over 5 million pieces of PPE.
In addition to facemasks, gowns, coveralls, exam gloves, and other protective gear, HOPE also provided lifesaving medical equipment in China, including ventilators.
Project HOPE has delivered over 6 million pieces of personal protective equipment in the U.S. and around the world, protecting doctors and nurses on the front lines.
