Chubb in Colombia is matching employee donations of up to one day’s salary, which has raised approximately USD$13,000 (COP$50 million). The company’s sales team is also participating in a fundraising initiative which donates USD$5 (COP$20,000) to the ABACO foundation, the Colombian National Food Bank, for each new SME policy sold. These donations are helping to support ABACO’s mission to feed those most affected by the pandemic.
In alliance with Juguete Pendiente NGO, donations from Chubb employees in Perú were used to purchase protective masks for health care staff in seven hospitals in Lima City, allowing them to safely continue their essential work.
Chubb in Brazil is delivering protection kits to their claim adjusters who are performing on-site claim inspections. The kit contains gloves and masks personalized with the Chubb logo. The kits have also been provided to Chubb’s commercial partners which include: ECC technical services, Servitas, Wagner, MM Associates, Sedgwick do Brazil, Crawford & Company, Serra and Company, Smera, AddValora, Cooper Brothers and Uon Consulting.
Chubb employees in Mexico are invited to donate to the “Iluminando con Amor” association, a non-profit organization focused on supporting medical personnel who care for COVID-19 patients. Employee donations will be matched by the company. The money raised will benefit three different medical facilities: Dispensario Médico San Camilo (Guadalajara); Casa INDI (Monterrey); and Hospital de Enfermedades Respiratorias (Mexico City).
Donations from the Chubb team in Mexico were delivered to three associations: Dispesario Médico San Camilo, in Guadalajara city, INDI House, in Monterrey, and the Hospital for Respiratory Diseases, in Mexico City. More than 1,500 people in vulnerable situations, as well as the doctors who work in these institutions, received essential food, providing them with the necessary support to continue the fight against COVID-19.
Chubb in Mexico is supporting frontline medical professionals through the Cadena Foundation, donating more than 2 million pesos. The Candena Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid in natural disaster emergencies around the world. The donation has helped to provide over 1,080 personal protection equipment (PPE) kits, which contain gloves, masks and glasses. In addition, a new platform, which utilizes WhatsApp messaging, will be available for anyone who needs medical and psychological assistance, available 24/7.
