Phillip Cole is Senior Vice President and Global Human Resources Officer. Mr. Cole has worldwide responsibility for human resources and HR operations across all business segments and regions. Among his areas of executive oversight are executive compensation, learning and development, and HR information systems.
Prior to ACE’s acquisition of Chubb in January 2016, Mr. Cole served as Global Human Resources Officer for ACE, a position he held since joining the company in 2004. He was appointed Senior Vice President, ACE Group, in March 2014.
Before joining ACE, Mr. Cole was Vice President of Human Resources for Guardian Life from 1999 to 2004. Before that, he held several senior level management consulting positions including Director of the Human Capital Strategy practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1998 to 1999; Vice President, Human Resources Planning & Development practice for Hay Group from 1992 to 1998; and Consulting Psychologist with RHR International from 1989 to 1992.
Mr. Cole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tufts University, an MBA in International Business and Management from the Stern School at New York University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from New York University.
