Jim Paugh is the Deputy General Counsel for Chubb Bermuda, a role he has held since 2017. Mr. Paugh oversees the legal matters and the execution of compliance functions for the company, along with providing legal advice on underwriting and claims for financial lines, excess liability, and property lines of business for Chubb Bermuda and Chubb Bermuda International. He also counsels underwriters on policy wording to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations and provides advice on risk management issues.
Mr. Paugh joined Chubb Bermuda in 2011 as Assistant Vice President of Claims. In 2014, he was appointed Managing Counsel and Head of Claims for Chubb Bermuda International.
Before joining Chubb, Mr. Paugh was in private practice in New York. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is admitted as an attorney by the Supreme Court of New York.
