Kathleen Tierney

Kathleen Tierney is executive vice president, Chubb & Son, and chief operating officer of Chubb Personal Insurance (CPI).  She assumed her current responsibilities in November 2010 and is responsible for the profitability and growth of Chubb’s personal insurance strategic business unit worldwide.

Ms. Tierney joined Chubb in 1990 as a surety trainee and managed the New York City surety operation from 1995 to 1997. Subsequently, Ms. Tierney was a manager in Chubb's corporate development department and was the strategic marketing manager for Chubb Specialty Insurance (CSI). From 2008 to 2010, she served as CSI's Eastern territory manager, a role in which she was responsible for underwriting, profit, service and talent management.

Ms. Tierney graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and received a Master of Business Administration in finance and economics from the Stern School of Business.
