If you have a claim

We like you to be able to talk to a person over the telephone to report a claim. If you are a Masterpiece policyholder, please contact your broker in office hours or the Masterpiece 24 hour freephone on 0800 0180678. Your broker will liaise with Chubb and we will respond to your claim as quickly as possible.

Our approach

An insurance company's reputation for settling claims is as important as the cover it provides. For Chubb, our claim service is an integral part of the policy purchased by the customer. It is the time when we actually deliver on our promises.

Wherever they are, our customers experience the same superior claim service worldwide. Our global service standards are:

  • To make contact with the customer within 24 hours of a claim being reported
  • To make every effort to pay a claim within 48 hours of agreeing the settlement amount

Exceptional service

  • Our freephone number provides a 24 hour helpline for claims (manned 9am-5pm by Chubb staff and by Mondial out of working hours).
  • Claims are normally paid within 48 hours of agreeing the settlement.
  • Chubb external claim examiners are authorised to write a cheque on the spot.
  • There are no claim forms to complete.
  • In December 2000 and 2001 Chubb was voted by brokers as the UK's Best Claim Service (Insurance Times Awards).
  • Of the thousands of surveyed policyholders, 98% rate our service as 'good' or 'excellent' and 99% are satisfied with the payment amount they receive.
