Our loss control evaluations Loss Control Solutions
Every business is unique so therefore every loss control evaluation we perform is unique. Our loss control professionals have
the capacity to assess numerous risks that may affect your business. From structural and electrical problems to cyber crime
and product defaults.
There is no ‘one size fits all’ but here we aim to give you an idea of what our loss control staff do and what you may expect
from a visit.
Undertaking an evaluation of your property or liability portfolio is fundamental to understanding your risks, we will visit
you at your premises to undertake this evaluation (referred to as a survey in the insurance world), this appointment will
be arranged by one of our UK based dedicated support team, liaising with your broker and yourselves to arrange a date convenient
to all parties. As part of that procedure you will receive from us written confirmation of the appointment, detailing the types of information
required.
Property evaluation The most common type of evaluation we perform is on your property. If you have more than one location, we will discuss the need or otherwise whether additional site visits are needed, this
will be agreed with you. The evaluation is designed to capture details about your property, its physical characteristics, including construction details,
what the building is being utilised for, and an assessment of your exposures and level of management controls. Once we have this information, and agreed any areas for improvement, we prepare a report for our colleagues within the underwriting
department, and send you written confirmation of any areas identified which would benefit from improvement. This process is designed to provide as much information about your level of exposures and controls, in order we can underwrite
your risk more accurately, and to provide you with help and assistance so you may manage your exposures more effectively.
Liability evaluation The risk of liability losses grows daily. Our loss control staff will assess your exposure in an attempt to minimise these
as much as possible.
