- The information
which you provide to Federal Insurance Company (the "Company")
in a proposal form for insurance or in any other documents relating
to an insurance policy or claim of whatsoever nature made under an insurance
policy issued by Federal Insurance Company, and the modifications, variations
or cancellation of any such information (collectively your "personal
information") may be used or disclosed by the Company in connection
with such insurance policy, any related insurance product, claims of
whatsoever nature made under such insurance policy or any legal proceedings
arising therefrom. Your personal information may further be transferred
to any parent, subsidiary or affiliate of Federal Insurance Company
in Hong Kong or out of Hong Kong, if located in a jurisdiction having
privacy laws equivalent to those of Hong Kong, to any other company
carrying on insurance related business in or from Hong Kong or to any
association or federation of insurance companies in Hong Kong that exists
or is formed from time to time. Provision of the personal information
via this web site is voluntary . If you choose to apply
for insurance then provision of personal information in the insurance
application or proposal form is obligatory. If you make a claim
under a policy then provision of personal information is obligatory
in the context of the claim. If you elect not to supply the personal
information as requested, your application for insurance coverage, claim
under an insurance policy, or any other request, enquiry or complaint
will not be processed.
- Your personal
information will be kept confidential by the Company save and except
for the purposes referred to herein.
- Under the Personal
Data (Privacy) Ordinance Cap. 486, as amended, you have the
right to obtain access to any Company records containing your personal
information and you also have the right to request the correction of
any of your personal information which is inaccurate within such records.
Requests for access to or correction of your personal information held
by the Company can be made in writing to the Company at the following
