Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index

Since 2004, Chubb has attained the highest score (100%) on the Corporate Equality Index published by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a bipartisan political organization that works to advance workplace equality based on sexual orientation and gender expression and identity.

The HRC's Corporate Equality Index is based on a survey sent to Fortune magazine's 1,000 largest publicly-traded businesses, American Lawyer magazine's top 200 revenue-grossing law firms and private-sector for-profit employers with 500 or more full-time U.S. employees that asks to be rated or for which HRC has enough information to derive a score. Companies are rated on a scale from 0 to 100 percent on several key indicators of fair treatment for LGBT employees.  The survey evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. The 2016 report rated 1,027 companies of which 407 major U.S. businesses scored 100%.
