Pharmacy Programs

Chubb Services Corporation offers a national pharmacy management program through Medical Services Company. Injured workers are given a card that allows them to have their prescription medications filled at a participating retail pharmacy. There are over 56,000 pharmacies nationwide that participate in the program. Since the injured workers do not have to pay out of pocket for their medications, their compliance with a medication regimen often improves.

Pharmacy cards can be restricted to specific drugs, physicians, and/or pharmacies in order to strictly control the use of the card for compensable conditions only. Activity reports are also available to the adjusters to analyze possible duplicate prescriptions from more than one physician, adherence to FDA recommendations (premature refills), and possible use of prescriptions that are unrelated to the workers' compensation injury.

Home delivery and DME (durable medical equipment) services are also provided through Medical Services Company for additional cost savings.
