Chubb Manager Receives Outstanding Asian American in Business Award
WARREN, NJ, July 27, 2007 -- The Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) honored Kenneth Chung, a vice president with the Chubb Group of
Insurance Companies, for his contributions as an Asian American business professional. Chung received his award at the 6th
Annual Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business award dinner in New York recently.
Chung has served as the Northeast zone underwriting manager for Chubb Commercial Insurance in Boston since 2002. He began
his insurance career in 1980 with INA/CIGNA in Hong Kong. Chung joined Chubb's Hong Kong branch in 1986 as a senior underwriter
and has since held a variety of underwriting and managerial positions in Chubb's offices in New York, Los Angeles, Warren,
NJ, and London.
Chung is a co-founder and chair of the Asian American Business Network, one of Chubb's corporate employee resource groups.
The group encourages Asian American members to increase their contribution to Chubb's business results by connecting, collaborating
and contributing. Chung also has participated in volunteer activities for various not-for-profit organizations, including
weekend Chinese schools.
He has an undergraduate degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he majored in insurance and a master's in business
administration from Boston University. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate of the Chartered
Insurance Institute (UK) designations.
