Chubb Adds Identity Travel Assistance Services to Business Travel Accident Policies
WARREN, NJ, October 11, 2006 – The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, through an alliance with Identity Theft 911, is now offering a range of services
to help mitigate the disruptions and financial expenses policyholders’ employees may face following the theft, loss or destruction
of sensitive information. One of these services, Identity Travel Assistance 911, is being provided on a complimentary basis
to Chubb business travel accident policyholders.
“When traveling on business—whether domestically or abroad—the loss or theft of a passport or other identification documents
can be a serious problem,” said James Hamilton, senior vice president, Chubb & Son, and North American manager for Chubb Accident
& Health. “Our identity recovery and related services can limit the negative consequences and help get employees’ trips and
lives back on track as quickly as possible.”
Identity Travel Assistance 911 helps employees recover or recreate personal identification documents that have been lost or
stolen during business travel. Identity Theft 911 will work with financial institutions and local law enforcement to recreate
documents and help mitigate identity theft risks stemming from the missing documents.
Other new identity theft services available to group benefits’ policyholders at a competitive cost can respond to corporate
security breaches, the destruction of identity documents in disasters and identity theft. These additional services include:
- Identity Document Disaster Response. This service helps to recover and recreate personal identification documents, as well as financial and legal records, that
have been destroyed in a natural disaster.
- Security Breach Response. Upon reporting any security penetration such as a lost briefcase or cyber security breach, this service seeks to minimize
business disruption and collaborates with government agencies and financial and other institutions to help protect companies
and their employees.
- Identity Theft Recovery Services. An Identity Theft 911 case worker will help employees who have fallen victim to identity theft restore their identities by
notifying government agencies, businesses and financial institutions; resolve credit and other identity theft-related problems;
and monitor card credit activity for fraud.
