New Online Tool Helps Agents Connect Chubb Customers with Auto Repair Shops

WARREN, NJ, October 5, 2006 - The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has launched an online tool to help put personal insurance customers in touch with Chubb's network of preferred, independent auto body repair shops. This new inquiry tool was developed based on feedback from agents and brokers to further improve customer service and satisfaction.
A part of Chubb's Masterpiece® Auto Preference® Services program, the repair network is now available online to agents and brokers, so customers can begin the repair process more quickly. Repair shop information can be obtained at any time, even when losses occur after hours or on weekends. In addition, the tool provides directions from the customer's address to the chosen shop. 

"When accidents occur, our customers don't want to wait around to learn when and where their cars will be repaired. They also want to be assured that their cars will be repaired by qualified service people," said William S. Crowley, Chubb's worldwide auto claims manager. "With this new tool, agents and brokers will have the information at their fingertips to help our customers start the repair process."

Chubb customers can select any repair shop they like; however, Chubb guarantees the workmanship of repairs done by the preferred auto repair shops for as long as the insureds own the vehicles. The preferred auto repair shops are selected based on their level of training, vehicle expertise, quality of work and customer feedback. The online tool also will support business auto policyholders with passenger vehicles and light-duty pickup trucks.

Agents and brokers can access Chubb's list of preferred auto repair shops through @Chubb, the secure Web site that allows them access to multiple products and services.
