A United Way Day of Caring in Seattle

Seattle branch employees, both active and retired, are multi-year participants in United Way's Day of Caring for Washington
State, a major day of volunteerism. In 2012, all donned work gloves, picked up shovels, brooms and rakes and spent a day cutting
down blackberry bushes, spreading bark and gravel, and trimming bushes to beautify the grounds at one of Compass Housing Alliance's
homes in South Seattle. The Compass Housing Alliance provides a range of services and housing options to people struggling
with homelessness and poverty in the Seattle area.
"Our pictures of the day tell the story of a strong Chubb team focused on its community ─ lots of fun for everyone who volunteered
with a wonderful feeling of accomplishment once the job was finished," says Greg Monroe, branch manager. "The United Way Day
of Caring is an excellent event and gives us a great opportunity to support our local community."
Day of Caring is a time when volunteers celebrate the spirit of giving through service. Employees at numerous Chubb offices
frequently participate in local and regional United Way Day of Caring events.
