Quality Assurance Team Members Light the Night for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

The worldwide underwriting Quality Assurance (QA) team serving Chubb Commercial Insurance and Chubb Specialty Insurance is
a wholly virtual team all of whose members work remotely, gathering just once each year for a two-day annual meeting. For
2012, QA team members sought to combine their meeting with a community service project. They chose the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society as their beneficiary and Boston as their meeting place, primarily because the city was hosting one of the Society's
several annual "Light the Night" walks to raise money for blood cancer research.
"The community project was highly motivating to all of us, especially since one of our teammates is married to a Leukemia
survivor," explains the QA Department's Sheila Tully, underwriting auditor and charity team captain.
QA team members prepared for nine months ahead of their meeting, sending out letters to friends and families asking for donations
to back their "Light the Night" walk. In all, they raised some $5,500 for the Society.
"The walk was a very beautiful and moving event," says Tully.
