Online System Makes It Easy to Obtain Insurance for Private Firms and Non-Profits
WARREN, NJ, December 13, 2011--The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has developed an online system to help agents and brokers obtain professional and management
liability insurance for private companies and not-for-profit organizations.
“Agents and brokers often find that obtaining U.S. professional and management liability insurance for small and mid-sized
private companies and not-for-profit organizations can involve a labor-intensive process and tight customer deadlines,” said
Michael Maloney, senior vice president and senior customer group manager for private company/not-for-profit specialty insurance
for Chubb. “Chubb DecisionPoint saves agents time by asking only a handful of key qualifying questions and, for eligible accounts,
immediately providing a bindable quote and a completed application ready for the customer’s signature.”
Chubb DecisionPoint automates the submission process for agents and brokers with small to mid-sized private company clients
seeking crime, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability and miscellaneous professional liability insurance. Agents
and brokers with small to mid-sized not-for-profit clients can access these coverages as well as directors and officers liability
insurance through DecisionPoint. Directors and officers liability coverage will be added to the private company options in
2012. The online system also enables agents and brokers to refer more complex small and mid-sized accounts to a Chubb underwriter
for further review.
The member insurers of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies form a multi-billion dollar organization providing property
and casualty insurance for personal and commercial customers worldwide through 8,500 independent agents and brokers. Chubb’s
global network includes branches throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
