Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association (IIABA)
Chubb is committed to distributing its insurance products through independent agents and brokers. We are supporters of the
Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA), the largest insurance agent and broker association in the United
States. As such, we participate in many of the programs the IIABA has developed. A sampling of our involvement includes:
Young Agents
This program helps younger insurance professionals develop leadership skills, network and share new success strategies and
techniques. The program is active in 43 states and has more than 15,000 members.
Young Agents Access Program
The "Young Agent Access Program" was established to provide Chubb products to IIABA's members of the Young Agents Program,
even if they do not have a Chubb appointment. Through Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency, Inc., young agents can access Chubb's
superior products for their high-value personal lines customers. Additionally, the program assists the agent in risk placement,
product marketing and servicing customer accounts. For more information, call 1- (800) 884-3770.
InVEST
The program is the only education program that strengthens the insurance industry by attracting a large pool of qualified
insurance employees. Today, there are 235 active high school and college programs in 26 states across the country.
Future One
Future One is a cooperative effort of IIABA and more than 25 insurers to offer a coordinated message to consumers and regulators,
while providing a forum for agents and companies to address key industry concerns. Future One's two areas of focus are state
government affairs and research. Every two years, Future One produces the Agency Universe Study, considered the most reliable
consensus of the independent agency system.
Best Practices
As a service to the independent agent and broker community, the IIABA researched and produced Best Practices of the Leading
Sales Organizations in the United States and Joint Agency/Company Planning Tool. Chubb again demonstrated its commitment
to the independent agents and brokers by providing financial backing for these important endeavors.
Multicultural Advisory Board
MAB was created to help address diversity issues in the independent agency system, and work on strategic plans to begin alleviating
those issues. This panel has increased the independent agents’ market share in urban areas by increasing the number of multicultural
agency appointments.
National Legislative Conference
The NLC is the premier industry lobbying event that attracts over 1,000 politically savvy independent agents gathering for
issue briefings, congressional leadership speakers, lobbying and networking.
