Agent's Council for Technology (ACT)
 

Affiliated with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA), ACT is a partnership of independent agents, companies, technology vendors, user groups and associations dedicated to enhancing the use of technology and improved work flows within the independent agency system.

Chubb continues to be a sponsor of ACT (since 1999) as well as a participant in the development of several tools designed to help agencies more effectively implement and manage technology.  As a resource to our agents, we provide links to various resources available from ACT, as well as a link to the ACT website.

ACTtech is an industry website that allows agents to view detailed information about carriers' technological capabilities.  Through this site, agents have the ability to run customized reports for their agency management system and appointed carriers that help them understand and implement various capabilities that are available.  Chubb supports this site as a benefit to our agents, and encourages you to visit ACTtech it to better understand how Chubb technology capabilities can benefit your agency.

In addition to ACTtech, ACT has developed many industry white papers and reports to assist the agency in several key areas of their operations.  Through the ACT website, agents may download these free publications:

Agency Improvement Tools offers several comprehensive guideline reports in the areas of security, privacy, disaster planning and improving agency workflows.

Agency Technology Reports provides links to several white papers designed to guide the agency in using technology more effectively.  Some examples include:  Real-time, Turning off the Paper and Agent-Carrier technology agreements.

Monthly Articles provide a historical view of the monthly technology articles that are provided to the state IIABA associations.  These short articles provide snapshots of industry technology issues and tools available to agents.
