Chubb is committed to the professional development of Chubb appointed agents and brokers.  Agency Education, a division of Strategic Marketing, offers a wide range of educational opportunities.  These programs are created to help agents and brokers stay abreast of trends and changes in the insurance industry.  Our programs focus on technical insurance knowledge, management and leadership skills, and sales skills.  We utilize state-of-the-art design and technology to develop curriculum for Agency/Broker Executives, the Agency/Broker Management Team, experienced producers, new producers and support staff. Partnering with some of the best names in the industry, Chubb’s Agency Education offers our agents a variety of courses in conveniently located venues.

 

Professional Development Curriculum

Agency Education has developed specific curricula for target audiences within the agency. We offer programs for:

 

Agency/Broker Executives:

Chubb Executive Education at Wharton – a one-week executive conference focused on leadership skills, designed by Chubb in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania ’s Wharton School.

Chubb Advanced Leadership Seminar – a three-day seminar that builds on the leadership concepts introduced in the Chubb Executive Education at Wharton session.

West of Wharton – Continuing to build on the skills introduced in Executive Education at Wharton and Advanced Leadership, this three-day seminar focuses on Strategic Thinking, Influencing Skills and Issues facing the insurance industry today.


Agency/Broker Managers:

Chubb Agency Business School – This one-week program brings agency and Chubb managers together to solve strategic and tactical business issues. Working in teams, participants compete against each other, utilizing a highly interactive computer simulation that replicates current market trends for both the carrier and the agency/broker.

Running Effective Sales Meetings – a one-day program focusing on how a sales meeting can incorporate goal setting, strategic planning and tracking tools to enhance and support the sales culture and production results within the agency.

Dynamics of Sales Management – a Chubb-sponsored program that was developed by the National Alliance and designed to assist sales managers in team development, including selection, hiring, training, goal setting and tracking.

Emerging Leaders Program – An introduction to management and leadership skills, this three-day program is designed for the “high potential” employees within the agency or brokerage, who may be future members of the senior management team.


Producers:

Chubb Producer Development School – An innovative and intense four- phase program designed to provide new commercial lines producers with the insurance and sales expertise needed to successfully navigate the first year of production. Utilizing online training, classroom work and Web casts, this program allows the new producer to make an immediate, positive impact on the agency.

Chubb Product School – This three-day program focuses on Chubb commercial insurance products, building both technical expertise and sales skills. Product differentiation and competitive advantage will be emphasized.

Chubb Personal Insurance School for Producer Development – a one-week program that offers in-depth training on Chubb’s Personal insurance product line, including homeowners, automobile, valuable articles, excess and yacht coverage.

Chubb Personal Insurance Advanced Producer School – a three-and-a half-day program focuses on the key issues and sales techniques necessary to sell personal lines insurance to high net-worth individuals.

I’d Rather Have a Root Canal Than Cold Call – a one-day program that offers specific tips, strategies and techniques designed to make producers more successful in gaining appointments with “cold” prospects and referrals.


CSRs:

Web cast Series – a monthly Web cast series, designed to enhance the business acumen, insurance expertise, sales- and customer-relationship skills of the agency CSR.
